Printing involves the reproduction of text and images on paper, fabric, card and other mediums. It is the reproduction of original copy including everything to printable form involving different mechanism and different ways. Machines are involved in the process because it is hard and physical work and require efforts that can’t be carried out bare hands.
All the methods of printing involve transferring ink from a printing plate to the medium on which printing is required. Although these methods are working on different ways but the purpose of all is just providing a reproduction of the original form into copies. Let’s compare these all.
Its name demonstrates exactly the same way it works. Instead of making the same original copy of writing in a raised form on the plate, a dig or simply scraped image is generated on the plate. Gravure method is just the opposite of relief method because there, a raised copy of the original document is generated on the plate while here the things go opposite of that.
This technique of printing is also the same just like those explained above. The same concept of pressing plate on the paper and generating image work here as well but only one extra step is involved here. The inked plate containing the printable image is pressed against a soft roller transferring the image to the roller. The roller then transfers that image to the paper or another material and the exact copy is obtained this way.
Offset printing prevents the plate from deteriorating by the continuous impressions on the paper. The final printed surface have no direct contact with the plate, instead the roller works alternatively like plate providing the printed image and a clear shape is generated this way.
All the major quantity printing solutions and printing press in Dubai use offset techniques of printing because of its speedy output capabilities. Modern offset printing doesn’t use the traditional concept of plate that was just a stone doing the job of plate. Instead, the image of document is transferred photographically to the thin metal printing plate. The portion that needs to be printed is coated with lacquer that attracts ink and the rest of the plate is coated with gum to attract water only. Later, the plate is pressed against a set of rollers, for the purpose of damping it in water and brushing the lacquer portion with ink that is then pressed against a rubber cylinder to obtain the image and distribute that further.
